How to Choose a Cycling Jersey?

Sleeved or sleeveless, with or without mesh, number of pockets on the back...A cycling jersey offers plenty of options. So how do you choose the right one?

More than a simple T-shirt, a cycling jersey is a technical piece that boosts comfort. To choose it well, there are 3 factors to consider: the duration of your rides, the weather (short or long sleeves?), and the number of pockets. This guide helps you find the right fit.

Duration of the rides

B'twin offers 3 jersey styles depending on the duration of your ride.

For occasional use

Rides lasting about 1 hour: you can choose the jersey 100 (loose and comfortable fit).

For regular use

Rides lasting 1 to 3 hours: choose the jersey 500, which has a more fitted cut.

For heavy use

Rides longer than 3 hours: opt for the 900 and Aerofit lines, which are very form-fitting to maximize aerodynamics.

Weather conditions

A cycling jersey for every season!

Cool weather

Opt for warmth with a long-sleeved jersey.

Hot weather

Choose a short-sleeved or sleeveless jersey to wick away sweat.

For extra ventilation, there are jerseys with a half-zip or full-zip design featuring breathable fabric on the sides. Lightweight and made from technical fabrics, your jersey helps regulate body temperature and ensures comfort—essential for long bike rides.

Number of pockets

To carry and organize items in your jersey, you can choose from models with 2 to 5 pockets, some of which are zippered and waterproof.
